Each Dishoom is a love letter to Bombay – its food and its culture, its many varied people, its rich history and its endless eccentricities.
So many different voices from so many different places telling so many different stories joined together to become Bombay. It is a city of massive and juxtaposed extremes hemmed in tight by the ocean on three sides. And yet, past the crowds and between the layers of accumulated difference, there is magic. Hidden gems, lovely histories, the most delicious comfort food and countless stories to be told.

BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER OVER FOOD AND DRINK
The old Irani cafés have almost disappeared. Opened early last century by Zoroastrian immigrants from Iran, there were almost four hundred cafés at their peak in the 1960s. Now, fewer than thirty remain.
Their faded elegance welcomed all: rich businessmen, taxi-wallas, students, families, lawyers, courting couples. People from all walks of life rubbed shoulders, shared tables and broke bread together.
The Irani cafés broke down barriers: shared spaces beget shared experiences, and Bombay was more open and welcoming for the existence of these cafés. Dishoom pays homage to the Irani cafés and the food of all Bombay.
BOMBAY COMFORT FOOD
Eat your way through the city
At Dishoom, you’ll find the food of all Bombay.
...its cafés, grills, street stalls and homes. This food evokes fond memories: the simple pleasure of sipping masala chai with buttered buns, the fire of a street-side Vada Pau and the snackery of Bhel, or the fragrant warmth of a potted Biryani shared with friends. Dishoom serves true Bombay comfort food inspired by its most treasured corners of the city.
Begin the day with breakfast, which might be a Bacon Naan Roll, a laden-plate of Akuri or a bowl of Date & Banana Porridge. Then, lunch lightly on a Paneer Roomali Roll or fancy Salads. Unfurl luxuriously into the afternoon with sips of Chai. The evening brings smoky, melt-in-mouth grills, robust and spicy curries.
Jostling harmoniously with our beloved Dishoom favourites are plentiful delectable all-new dishes. Come, savour pillowy Makhmali Paneer with Tandoori Chaat and Goan Monkfish Curry.

We were thrilled to have shared our delicious new up-dates to the Dishoom menu: including all-new dishes, freshly imagined classics and a sparkling brand-new drinks list. Humble thanks to all who came.

Malai Kofta with Laccha Naan
Bombay celebrates Diwali with its whole heart. And so do we, starting with our festively-inspired specials. Malai Kofta is most befitting for auspicious occasions. A celebratory vegetarian centerpiece and a Diwali staple in Chef Rishi’s childhood home.
Warmly spiced paneer koftas, stuffed with sweet raisins and cashews. Slipped into a rich tomato curry, silky from lashings of malai (cream). Cumin, cardamom and bay bring added harmony while fresh ginger and pomegranate adorn. Teamed with one giant buttery Laccha Naan (for mopping) this special dish is perfect as part of a feast to share. Take note and order wisely – many hands around the table will spark cries for ‘More!’.
Available until Sunday 10th November in all cafés and on Deliveroo.

Charity
A Meal for a Meal
For each and every meal you eat at Dishoom, we donate a meal to a child that would otherwise go hungry. We work with two charities – Magic Breakfast in the UK and Akshaya Patra in India – who provide nourishing free meals to schools. This means the children are undistracted by hunger, and ready to learn. So far, we’ve donated 20 million meals (...and counting).
Breaking down barriers
And celebrating differences
Our events bring people of all walks of life together to celebrate culture and food. Whether it’s bringing together non-Muslims to celebrate Eid, non-Hindus to celebrate Diwali, or people of every possible background to tie Knots of Protection – we create shared spaces where differences are celebrated rather than judged.
Our Planet
Understanding our carbon footprint
At Dishoom, we recognise the urgent need to combat climate change and have made a good start. While there is much more to be done, we have managed to reduce the amount of carbon emissions per meal, and we are supporting some great projects outside Dishoom to remove an amount of carbon more than equivalent to those emissions.
