New Year’s Eve at Dishoom

Bombay Vintage Glam

31 December 2018

New Year’s Eve at Dishoom is always a massive hoot. Most glamorous guests in fancy frocks, sparkly saris and sharp suits (maybe a feather boa or two), come and ring in the new year with a decadent feasting menu, exquisite tipples, and all the excitement that comes with the cusping of a new year!

We call it Bombay Vintage Glam, and it’s one of the best nights of the year!

Book your table for New Year’s Eve at Dishoom

There are many ways you can celebrate with us:-

You’ll enjoy a first-class welcome drink, followed by Chef Naved’s brand-new and very decadent New Year’s Eve feasting menus – one entirely vegetarian – with celebratory dishes such as Lamb Raan Biryani, Paneer Bemisal and Basmati Kheer. All this is accompanied by a special New Year’s Eve playlist curated by our very talented and very dear friend – Mr Rob Wood. (He’s pretty cool – take a read here to be convinced). £65pp.

And may the current of excitement be charged further…  as part of the evening’s festivities, we will offer every table two rolls of our matka* dice. Roll a six the first time, and we’ll give your table a bottle of Prosecco. Should you have such luck to roll a six the second time, we’ll buy you a round of drinks. On us. We’re entirely serious.

What’s more, all guests are more than welcome (ney, encouraged) to stay and celebrate with us all night. Your table will be yours until 1am. No exceptions.

We also invite you to join us for New Year’s Eve in the beautifully jazzy Dishoom Kensington. You’ll enjoy all of the above with the added brilliance of live music from Dishoom Kensington’s very own Dixie Ticklers (of Bombay Roxy fame). They’ll be playing foot-tappingly good live jazz tunes from 10pm ’til 1am and are absolutely not to be missed. £75pp.

Alternatively, if you wish to join us just for drinks at any one of our cafés, the Permit Room bars will be open from 10pm. Entry is just £7 and includes a welcome drink and merriment, guaranteed. Kindly note: no food is included on the evening guest list.

Particulars: The restaurants will be open for walk-ins on New Year’s Eve until 6:30pm. Then from 8:30pm we will welcome guests with pre-booked tables for our Bombay Vintage Glam evening. If you book to join us for Bombay Vintage Glam, then you’re welcome to stay and keep your table all night. And we will, of course, do a good old-fashioned countdown to the new year with you all! We can’t wait.

Please note:

  • We’ll require a £10pp deposit to hold your table for the evening.
  • There will be no additional booking fees.
  • All food and drink will be payable on the night.
  • Last orders at all cafés will be at 1am.

Kindly email us at to book, and do include your preferred café and party size.

* Matka is Hindi for pot or cup. It is also a slang term for the underground lottery that originated in Bombay in 1962.
