Stalls shut, and the Market transforms into a listening bar for its opening night. Lights dim. Vinyl spins. A new market rhythm comes to life.
In a set curated by Rohan Rakhit, three DJs will spin vinyl back-to-back. Sit and listen closely, shimmy, or wander freely. The Permit Room Bar is awash with most-loved cocktails and Kingfisher Beer Towers (just for the night). Chef-wallas will be serving up Chicken and Jackfruit Puffs and nicely spiced Biryani, from 7.30–9.30pm.
Play Bombay’s favourite game, Carrom, and compete for prizes – our friends Karrom will be on hand to teach you the rules. Flick through vinyl at Bun Maska Records Store. Take in a South Asian art exhibit and order prints to your home. Indulge your senses.
Come for the whole evening, or drop by for a while.
Entry is free but limited – book ahead to secure your spot (walk-ins welcome if space allows).
