Dishoom Group Feast

Celebrate with us

In every community, eating is a means to celebrate and to bring people together. We are particularly good at this in India. Every celebration has food in the middle of it, invariably leaving us all thoroughly sated, happy and burping (considered a courteous gesture). 

Our version of this brings large groups together over a first-class feast, dining from Thaals (large metal trays) laden with delicious food. All groups of 10 or more are invited to order from our Group Feasting Menus, which include delectable vegetarian and vegan options. No need to order in advance, just come and enjoy the feast.

We accept bookings online up to four months in advance. For larger parties or for specific event requests, do get in touch with us directly at feasting@dishoom.com to book. 

Where possible we always try to seat large parties together, though you may be spread over a few close-together tables. 

For group bookings we do ask for a deposit, which is used against your final bill. If you need to cancel for any reason, let us know 24 hours in advance and we will gladly refund your deposit.

FAQs

Do you take group bookings for breakfast?

Absolutely. We welcome large groups for breakfast. We ask that your reservation time is no later than 11.00am so that we can tend to you and your guests in good time before our lunch service begins. 

Can we bring a birthday cake?

Please do. Just bring it along on the day itself as we have limited storage space.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

For reservations made online, we ask for a £50 deposit per booking. For larger parties of 30 (or more), we ask for a £100 deposit – do get in touch with us directly for large party bookings and we’ll be happy to help. If you need to cancel, just let us know at least 24 hours before your booking and we'll happily refund your deposit. Kind thanks.

Can I cancel my booking?

Absolutely. Just let us know at least 24 hours before your reservation, and we'll gladly sort and arrange a full refund of your deposit.

Can I order from the main menu?

For bookings of 10 or more, we ask that guests order from our feasting menus. These have been specially curated by our Chef-wallas with generous portions of Dishoom favourites to ensure timely service. You won't be disappointed. If there is a specific dish that you are hankering from the a la carte menu, do let us know in advance, as we always try to accommodate requests. 

Some of my guests have allergies, can you change the menu?

Yes, of course. If anyone in your party has dietary restrictions or allergies, simply inform your server, and we will be happy to accommodate.

How far in advance can I book?

We accept bookings four months in advance. For large gatherings, Christmas parties and events, we accept bookings further in advance – just reach out to us directly to discuss. 

Do you have a private dining room for hire?

We do not offer private dining, but some of our cafés have spaces which can be reserved for exclusive use. Please get in touch at feasting@dishoom.com with details of your event and a member of the team will be in touch with their recommendations.

Will we all be sat at one table?

If your reservation is for more than 16 guests you may be split over a few tables, however the team will make sure they're next to one another.

Drop us a line at feasting@dishoom.com to speak to a member of the team. We’ll do our best to accommodate your group. Peak times do book up in advance so we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible. Please note, at our London and Edinburgh cafés, we offer dinnertime bookings at the following times only:— 6.00pm, 6.30pm, 9.00pm and 9.30pm.

How long can we have our table for?

We want you to relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Typically, we allow 2 hours 30 minutes for groups of ten or more. If you need more time, just let your server know.
